I begin with myself when I passed class 10, there was a picture in my mind.

The subject of Arts is for weaker students,
Commerce is for students in the middle class,
Science is for intelligent students.

I don’t know about others, but this is the picture in my mind.

No one was there to tell me that what you choose now will shape your future ahead.

Let’s talk about the subjects first. Choose the subject that you find interesting and enjoy studying, whether it is Arts, Commerce, or Science. All three are equally important and valuable. There is no subject that is superior or inferior.

Now let’s talk about career choices. My father used to say, “Become an IAS officer”, but he never explained what being an IAS officer actually entails. If we don’t even know what it is and what it entails, how can we develop an interest in it?

IAS — stands for Indian Administrative Services. In simple terms, IAS officers are like the appointed kings of their districts. They oversee everything from law and order to the functioning of various systems that directly impact the public. They ensure that the entire district runs smoothly. It’s like having the feeling of being a ruler of a district.

IPS— stands for Indian Police Service. As the name suggests, IPS officers work in the police department. There are many benefits to becoming an IPS officer, but there are also some drawbacks. On the positive side, you get to wear the uniform and have the authority to deal with criminals. It gives you a feeling of being a tough and fearless individual. However, on the downside, if any mishap or unfortunate incident occurs in your jurisdiction, the media, politicians, and the public will come after you. The spotlight will be on you 24/7, which can be quite stressful.

Engineer – This is a great profession, sir! If you understand and excel in your field, there will never be a lack of excitement in your life.
You will always have the urge to do something new, who knows, maybe you’ll create the next Apple, Facebook, Google, or YouTube.
An engineer can provide us with a Mercedes as well as a Ferrari, a solar system, and there is no limit to their thinking in the same way there is no shortage of opportunities in engineering.

A doctor — It is certain that acquiring a medical degree is very difficult, it is not easy at all. However, once you have obtained the degree, there will be no shortage of marriage proposals in your house. You will be recognized as an intelligent person in society, and you will surely receive invitations to weddings.

An advocate — These are incredibly talented individuals who scare the ones that the general public fears with just a degree, that being the police. Well, that was a joke.
An advocate — You have an awareness of your own rights, and you play a role in ensuring that others get their rights too. That is the marvel of a degree in law.

A businessman — Easiest to see, easiest to start, but life’s experience tells us that anything that starts easily has many challenges ahead.
In today’s time, pleasing the customer is impossible. Even if done somehow, your business partner will engage in conspiracy to ruin the business. So, it’s all about working, working, and just working 24/7. Oh, if by chance you become successful, your children will roam around in expensive cars.

Note – There are many options, but I have explained using examples, so choose whichever option feels right to you with your heart and mind.
